Icarus Senior Squad v Fleet Air Arm

Despite the score, Icarus took a lot of positives away from the game which was played under difficult circumstances. Trying to field a team to play in the South West (Yeovilton) on a Thu evening was never going to be easy and Icarus turned up with 12 players, only 6 of whom were regular 1st Team players. The FAA on the other hand had a squad of 20+ and with unlimited subs it was always going to be a tough task.
 
Icarus were lucky to be only 1-0 down at HT but following some tactical positional changes by gaffer Scott Hyndman, the 2nd half was much better for Icarus and they were very unlucky not to get at least a goal for their efforts. 
 
Brilliant work rate from every player was on show and stand out performances from GK Steve Ricketts and LB Si Wain were very good to see; Si Wain just taking MOTM.
