For the first time in quite a while, on Sat 2 Sep Icarus fielded 2 teams to compete in concurrent trophies; quite an achievement at the end of the summer leave period.

Up at RAF Cranwell in Lincs, the 1st Team took on RAF College Cranwell for the Burma Trophy. Icarus ran out easy winners 9-0 (Toogood with 8 goals) but it was more than just the result. An excellent opportunity for Icarus to engage with the recruits who will be vital to sustain Icarus for years to come.

At Aldershot Military Stadium, the Vets competed in the Jack O'Regan Memorial Trophy against the Army Crusader's Vets and AGC Vets. Unfortunately a depleted Icarus (reliant upon a few 'Ringers and loans' to make up the numbers) were unable to retain the trophy. Having won the 1st game, they ran out of legs in the 2nd and fell to a narrow defeat.

Attention now turns to the Astra League for the 1st and Hellenic League for the Vets.
