Stevie is a young keeper who has made a big impression. He kept
a clean sheet against the Army at Aldershot in one of his first
starts and has impressed everyone with his attitude and commitment
to the Club. Steve is a great shot stopper and is brave in coming
off his line. This will be the first season that Steve starts
fully fit in nearly 3 years and he has vowed to work hard to
gain the number one spot!. |

Vinny
Jackson: Caps: 77 Goals: 0 - Goal Keeper
Vinny has been a member of Icarus since 2004 and is one of the
Clubs big characters. He amassed an amazing 39 caps in his first
2 seasons. A superb shot stopper VJ has make many vital saves
over the last few seasons and is sure to become one of the future
Icarus legends. |

Mark
Bowden: Caps: 18 Goals: 0 - Goal Keeper
Having
played for Elgin City and the RAF, Mark joined Icarus at the
start of last season and made his debut against Sheff Utd. A
top class keeper he is sure to be an excellent addition to the
first team squad. Mark played in many big fixtures last season
and after attending the USA Tour in May 2010 he is now an established
member of Icarus FC. |

Dom
Smith : Caps: 22 Goals: 0 - Goal Keeper
Dom played twice for Icarus in season 09/10 but had gone on
to become a regular last season and has established himself
as a key player in the squad. 2011/12 is a big season for the
Icarus stopper. |

Arnie
Arnison:

Left Back
Arnie
has made the position of left full back his own and is one of
the Clubs most senior players who regularly Captains the side.
His natural athleticism and ability to read the game make him
an outstanding defender. Arnie made his debut in December 2004
and he has been ever present since then. He is now an experienced
defender who never lets the side down - Arnie is already a Club
Legend!

Gary
McIntosh: Caps: 69 Goals: 7 - Defender
Tosh is an experienced defender who can play at full back or
centre half. The Scottish Superstar is a popular member of the
squad and is also Assistant First Team Manager. Calm on the
ball and dominant in the air, Tosh is a class act. In a former
life, Tosh coached the RAF under 25 team. This season Tosh has
also taken on the new Icarus A Team and he hopes to lead them
to cup success.. |

Jason
Parr: Caps: 48 Goals: 21 - Defender / Midfielder
Jase re-signed for Icarus towards the end of the season 2009
after an absence of almost 10 years. He has played to a high
level and brings a wealth of experience to the squad. A big
powerful defender or midfielder, Jason won the players player
of the year in 2009/10 after scoring 2 last minute goals in
the MIddlesex Cup Final. Last season he played in the centre
of midfield where his physical presence was a real asset.

Dan
Turner: Caps: 92 Goals: 14 - Full Back
Dan, joined the Club at the start of the 2006/07 season. On
the pitch Dan's enthusiasm, wherever he plays is second to none.
He is now established as a top class full back in the mold of
Ashley Cole. His pace, mixed with his 'Never say die' attitude,
have quickly led to Dan being a popular member of the squad.

Greg
Shutie: Caps: 84 Goals: 5 - Defender
Shuts is a top class defender with pace and great ability on
the ground. He first played for Icarus in 2005, making his debut
against QCS at RAF Uxbridge in a 1-1 draw. Greg played a key
part in the 2010 cup win and is one of the most important players
in the Clubs recent history.

Rich
Lewis: Caps: 47 Goals: 8 - Defender
Rich is a tough tackling defender with good ball skills. A former
semi pro in the North East; Rich brings real quaility to the
back four. He has been working in the parachute world over the
past couple of season, but in his new role we expect to see
him much more this season. |

Rod Babington: Caps: 44 Goals: 2 - Defender
An experienced footballer who is highly respected within the Club, he is also assistant manager of the A Team. Babbo can play in a number of positions, but is most comfortable when deployed as a sweeper. |

Tom
Cope: Caps: 11 Goals: 1 - Defender
Tom is a no-nonsense defender who has impressed last season
for the RAF College side. He joined a large intake of new players
this season from IOT when he made his debut against the RN in
November 2010.. |

Phill
Hirons: Caps: 9 Goals: 0 - Defender
Phill is another of the new batch of players who have signed
for the Club last season, he has already made an impact at full
back and centre half and if he looks like becoming a regular
in the First Team Squad this season. |

Ian
Matthews: Caps: 6 Goals: 2 - Midfielder / Defender
Ian is a former RAF player and joins Icarus straight from IOT.
He made his debut at the end the 2009/11 season and now hopes
to play regularly this season. Another player with vast experience,
Ian brings a calm persona to the midfield. |

Rich
Lowe: Caps: 58 Goals: 10 - Defender / Midfielder
To get the low down on Rich we had to chat to his Brize Norton
chums! Lowey is always flying around the world, but when in
the UK, his fantastic left foot has won him plaudits across
the RAF footballing world. His set pieces and crossing are of
the highest order. Rich joined Icarus in 2006, and he has established
himself as one of our most important players |

Ben
Fisher: Caps: 65 Goals: 11 - Defender / Holding Midfielder
Ben is a top class defender and midfielder who is adept at popping
up in the opposition's penalty box with the odd goal. The Fishman
negotiated the Umbro kit deal for last season and he works hard
off the pitch as well as on it for the Club. His dogged determination
and commitment to the Club are second to none, making him a
popular member of the squad. This is Ben's 7th season with the
Club. |

Simon
Wain:
Caps: 19 Goals: 0 - Winger
Simon joined the Club at the start of last season
and made an impact in the North v South fixture. Comfortable
on the ball, with pace and close control, Simon will give the
Club further options on the left wing this season. |

Adam
Fisher :
Caps: 7 Goals: 2 - Midfielder
/ Defender
Adam made his Icarus debut against Boston Utd
at Lincoln in May 10. He has quickly established himself as
a key member of the squad and showed some real quality. Adam
is also an RAF Cricketer. |

Andrew Martins-Tonks: Caps: 56 Goals: 23 - Midfielder
The athletic Tonks looks is a massive asset to Icarus and has
established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet.
He made his debut against RAF Cranwell 3 years ago and showed
immediate promise. He finally played in his preferred central
midfield role against Boston in Dec 08 and was one of the men
of the match. He has the knack of scoring vital goals from Midfield
and has a good range of passing.

Jim
Schofield: Caps: 95 Goals: 62 - Midfielder / Defender
Since joining the Club, Jim has continued to impress and perform
at the highest level. Jim broke into the full RAF squad 2 years
ago. Jim's natural athleticism and fitness levels have made
him an integral part of the team. He made the switch from midfield
to centre half last season and his form was a revelation. Jim's
ability to run at pace with the ball and power through the opposition's
defence has seen him feature increasingly on the score sheet.
His goal record is amazing for a midfielder/defender!

Kyle
Higginbotham : Caps: 19 Goals: 0 - Midfielder
A powerful presence in the midfield, Kyle is another player
new to Icarus last season. He impressed on his debut against
Oxford in April and will be a big player this season. |

Joe Griffin: Caps:
63 Goals: 15 - Midfielder
Joe joined Icarus 4 years ago and made an immediate impact with
a 35 yard goal on his debut. Joe has demonstrated a high level
of skill and composure on the ball. These attributes, along
with the ability to bring others into the game, make him a key
member of the squad. He is also the Club Coach and his experiences
coaching at Premier League Clubs is invaluable. 2010/11 was
his best ever, as he created many goals from his excellent set
plays. He suffered injurys last season, but he hope to be back
to his best in 2011/12.

James
Renders: Caps: 38 Goals: 7 - Winger
Renders joined the RAF in June 2007. He initially played football
for the RAF College whilst on IOT and he played against the
RN College and the German Air Force College. Upon graduation
he made his Icarus debut against the RLC TA in February 2008
followed by Sheff Utd in July. A pacey left footer Renders
is now a first team regular.

Mark
Bateman: Caps: 16 Goals: 3 - Midfield
Mark joined Icarus at the start of last season and played in
all 3 pre-season friendlys. Mark strikes the ball superbly and
its only a matter of time before he scored his first goal for
the Club in March 2011. |

Kev
Thom : Caps: 12 Goals: 3 - Midfielder
Kev is a former RAF Player and has vast experience. He can play
either in defence, midfield or as a forward. He has started
the new season with 2 goals in 2 games and we hope that this
will be a big season for him with Icarus. |

Dave Scott: Caps:
38 Goals: 1 - Midfielder
Dave joined Icarus in September 2008 and has made a big impact
in the centre of midfield. He made his debut against the RAF
College followed by his first start the next week in the AFA
Cup against Lea Valley.
Scotty is one of our most consistent performers and made the
top 3 in last seasons player's player of the year award.

Howie
Heap:
Caps: 35 Goals: 4 - Midfielder
One of the best passer of the ball in the Club, Howie is also
a quilified coach. He is a big personality and is a great player
to have in the dressing room when things are not going well.
Howie also has a role with the RAF FA. |

Williams :
Caps: 18 Goals: 5 - Midfielder
Matt Williams is another player new to the Club last season.
He is a powerful runner and hardworking midfield player who
has a tremendous shot. |

Scott
Hynmand :
Caps: 43 Goals: 2 - Midfielder / Defender
Scott joined the Club midway through the 2009/10 season, making
his debut on the right hand side of midfield against Boston
Utd. A players with good experience in civilian football Scott
brings versatility to the squad and a calm head on the ball. |

Matt West : Caps: 12 Goals 2 - Forward / Midfield
Matt is new to Icarus in 2011/12. He can play in midfield or
up front and he has forced his way into the first team squad for the second half of the season. |

Kev
Lee :
Caps: 7 Goals 3 - Forward / Midfield
Kev is new to Icarus in 2011/12. He can play in midfield or
up front and he scored on his competitive debut for the the
Club in the AFA Jnr Cup.

Turnbull Caps: 23 Goals: 16 - Winger
David played his first game in November 2010 away to the Royal
Navy at Portsmouth. A tricky winger, he can play on either
the right or the left and has previously played at Cambridge
Utd. |

Gino
Portaluri: Caps: 107 Goals: 56
- Forward
Gino is one of the nicest guys in he team. A regular for 7 seasons
now he has made the switch from left midfield to centre forward.
Gino can play upfront or in the middle of midfield. He is another
player to hit the 50 Cap mark and often skippers the side when
Lee Hodgkinson is away. Gino continues to be one of the most
important players at the Club. |

Hetherington: Caps:
206 Goals: 85 - Forward
On the field John's pace, ability to beat defenders, and clinical
finishing have on occasion seen score some vital goals. John
too is a popular member of the squad, however as Manager he
never likes to get too friendly with HIS players. John first
played for Icarus in 1998 and took on the Managers job in 2003.

Hodgkinson: Caps:
122 Goals: 77 - Forward
Skipper, Hodge has scored for the RAF and despite being based
at RAF Lossiemouth for 3 years, his commitment to the Club is
unmatched. He has an eye for goal and after a spell helping
in midfield a couple of seasons ago he is looking to feature
up front this year after finishing last season as top scorer.

Tom Summerville:
Caps:
33 Goals: 15 - Forward
Tom joined Icarus just before the Gibraltar training camp in
2009 and worked hard last season to make a name for himself.
He scored his first goal for the Club against the RLC TA and
made a positive impression as a sub against the RAF side in
November 09. He ended the season in good form and should continue
to progress this season. |

Hutchings :
Caps:
10 Goals: 0 - Forward
Adam joined Icarus at the end of season 2010/11. He is a strong
centre forward who can hold the ball up and bring others into
play. This is his first full season with the Club and he could
play a key roll. |

Alex
Toogood :
Caps: 31 Goals: 43 - Forward / Winger
Alex is a pacey forward who has already hit the goal scoring
mark. His debut lasted 3 minutes against Sandhurst as he got
injured, but he went on to make 3 more appearances that season.
He ended last season as the Club's top scorer, ending the
Hodgkinson/Portaulri stranglehold on the award and he could
be a key player in 2011/12. |
