Stevie is a young keeper who has made a big impression. He kept
a clean sheet against the Army at Aldershot in one of his first
starts and has impressed everyone with his attitude and commitment
to the Club. Steve is a great shot stopper and is brave in coming
off his line. Steve should be a fixture for the sqaud for many
seasons to come. Last season he won most improved player of
the year and ended the season in great form. Currently undergoing
officer training, Steve is still very much part of the set up! |

Vinny
Jackson: Caps: 68 Goals: 0 - Goal Keeper
Vinny has been a member of Icarus since 2004 and is one of the
Clubs big charactors. He went he amassed an amazing 39 caps
in his first 2 seasons. A superb shot stopper VJ has make many
vital saves over the last few seasons and is sure to become
one of the future Icarus legends. |

Mark
Bowden: Caps: 12 Goals: 0 - Goal Keeper
Having
played for Elgin City and the RAF, Mark joined Icarus at the
start of this season and made his debut against Sheff Utd. A
top class keeper he is sure to be an excellent addition to the
first team squad. |

Arnison:

Left Back
Arnie
has worked hard to make the position of left full back his own.
His natural athleticism and ability to read the game make him
an outstanding defender. Arnie is a key player who made his
debut in December 2003. He is now an experienced defender who
never lets the side down - Arnie is already a Club Legend!

Gary
McIntosh: Caps: 52 Goals: 4 - Defender
Tosh is an experienced defender who can play at full back or
centre half. The Scottish Superstar is a popular member of the
squad and has recently taken on the role of Assistant First
Team Manager. Calm on the ball and dominant in the air, Tosh
is a class act. In a former life, Tosh coached the RAF under
25 team. Tosh is one of the most respected members of the Icarus
and depite the fact that he will be missing most of this season
with a detachment he will stay in touch.. |

Jason
Parr: Caps: 27 Goals:3 - Defender
Jase re-signed for Icarus towards the end of the season after
an absence of almost 10 years. He has played to a high level
and brings a wealth of experience to the squad. A big powerful
defender, Jason should prove an asset to the Club in 2009/10.

Rich
Maughan: Caps: 1 Goals: 0 - Defender
Rich graduates from IOT in November 09 and begins the Junior
Officer's Regt Course later in the month. The tough centre
half has represented the RAF Development Squad and RAF First
Team. He obtained a Youth contract at Leeds Utd before joining
the RAF and he will bring further quality to the Icarus back
line.

Dan
Turner: Caps: 72 Goals: 12 - Full Back
Dan, joined the Club at the start of the 2006/07 season and
is definitely a name worth taking note of. Dan's display of
commitment when turning up for fixtures, no matter the location,
is an inspiration for all. On the pitch Dan's enthusiasm, wherever
he plays is second to none. He has taken to his new role as
a full back like a duck to water. His pace, mixed with his 'Never
say die' attitude, have quickly led to Dan being a popular member
of the squad. He has established himself as one of the key members
of the squad. |

Greg
Shutie: Caps: 76 Goals: 5 - Defender
Shuts is a top class defender with pace and great ability on
the ground. He first played for Icarus in 2005, making his debut
against QCS at RAF Uxbridge in a 1-1 draw. He has reached the
magic 50 cap milestone this season and continues to show great
commitment to the Club. Greg will be hoping to play a big part
this season.

Lewis: Caps: 35 Goals: 6 - Defender
Yet another Geordie in the squad, Rich made his return to Icarus
football after 2 years abroad when he joined us on the Germany
tour. Rich is a tough tackling defender with good ball skills.
A former semi pro in the North East; Rich brings real quaility
to the back four. |

Pratley: Caps: 50 Goals: 2 - Defender
An experienced RAF footballer who is highly respected in the
game. Rich's job has restricted his appearances of late, however
he is a class act and once he gets some games under his belt
again for the Club he will become a key personality in the dressing
room. |

Ian
Matthews: Caps: 1 Goals: 0- Midfielder / Defender
Ian is one of the top midfield players in the RAF and joins
Icarus straight from IOT. He will bring geniune top level experience
to the side. |

Rich
Lowe: Caps: 45 Goals: 7 - Defender / Midfielder
To get the low down on Rich we had to chat to his Brize Norton
chums! Lowey is always flying around the world, but when in
the UK, his fantastic left foot has won him plaudits across
the RAF footballing world. His set pieces and crossing are of
the highest order. Rich joined Icarus in 2006, and he has established
himself as one of our most important players |

Ben
Fisher: Caps: 64 Goals: 11 - Defender / Holding Midfielder
Ben is a top class defender and midfielder who is adept at popping
up in the opposition's penalty box with the odd goal. The Fishman
negotiated the Umbro kit deal for this season and he works hard
off the pitch as well as on it for the Club. His dogged determination
and commitment to the Club are second to none, making him a
popular member of the squad. This is Ben's 6th season with the
Club. |

Jim
Davies:
Caps: 19 Goals: 1 - Utility
A tough tackling full back or midfielder, Jim
joined Icarus at the beginning of the 2006/07 season and featured
in the 3-0 win over the RAF Development Team at Cosford. He
is currently making his come back from a serious ankle injury,
but has taken on the roll as fixtures secretary. |

Andrew Martins-Tonks: Caps: 33 Goals: 10 - Midfielder
The athletic Tonks looks is a massive asset to Icarus and has
established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet.
He made his debut against RAF Cranwell 2 years ago and showed
immediate promise. He finally played played in his preferred
central midfield role against Boston in Dec 08 and was one of
the men of the match. He has the knack of scoring vital goals
from Midfield and scored in last season AFA Cup Semi Final and
is already off the mark this season.

Jim
Schofield: Caps: 69 Goals: 47 - Midfielder / Defender
Since joining the Club, Jim has continued to impress and perform
at the highest level. Jim broke into the full RAF squad 2 years
ago. Jim's natural athleticism and fitness levels have made
him an integral part of the midfield, and on occasion as a centre
half. Jim's ability to run at pace with the ball and power through
the opposition's defence has seen him feature increasingly on
the score sheet. A likable character, Jim enjoys a good level
of friendship with the majority of the squad (but not all of
them!). His goal record is amazing for a midfielder!

Joe Griffin: Caps:
50 Goals: 13 - Midfielder
Joe joined Icarus 3 years ago and made an immediate impact with
a 35 yard goal on his debut. Joe has demonstrated a high level
of skill and composure on the ball. These attributes, along
with the ability to bring others into the game, make him a key
member of the squad. He is also the Club Coach and his experiences
coaching at Premier League Clubs is invaluable.

James
Renders: Caps: 27 Goals: 6 - Winger
Renders joined the RAF in June 2007. He initially played football
for the RAF College whilst on IOT and he played against the
RN College and the German Air Force College. Upon graduation
he made his Icarus debut against the RLC TA in February 2008
followed by Sheff Utd in July this July. A pacey left footer
Renders is now a first team regular.

Dave Scott: Caps: 24 Goals: 1 - Midfielder
Dave is joined Icarus in September 2008 and has already made
a big impact in the centre of midfield. He made his debut against
the RAF College followed by his first start the next week in
the AFA Cup against Lea Valley.
Scotty has made a big impact and is one of our most consistent
performers.

Heap :
Caps: 27 Goals: 2 - Midfielder 0
One of the best passer of the ball in the Club, Howie is also
a quilified coach. He has had a successful pre-season is looking
like playing a vital part again this season.. |

Scott
Hynmand :
Caps: 7 Goals: 2 - Midfielder / Forward
Scott joined the Club midway through the season, making his
debut on the right hand side of midfield against Boston Utd.
A players with good experience in civilian football Scott brings
versatility to the squad and a calm head on the ball. |

Declan
Mcvickers: Caps:
7 Goals: 0 - Midfielder
Declan joined Icarus at the beginning of the 09/10 season and
he is a versatile player who can play all across the midfield.
One of a growing number of players with a PED connection in
the Club, Declan has made a big impression in his first season. |

Craig
Percival :
Caps: 8 Goals 5 - Forward
A tall powerful forward, Percy joined the Club early in 2010
and made his debut against Boston Utd at Uxbridge. He scored
his first goal for the Club against Doncaster Rovers and followed
it up with a brace against the RAF Police at Cranwell towards
the end of the season. Next season looks like being a big one
for Craig.

Dan
Lowes Caps: 11 Goals: 4 - Forward
Dan joined Icarus toward the end of season 08/09 coming on
as a sub in the 7-1 win over the RLC TA. He then scored the
all important winner against the RAFP in his second game and
went on to score twice more before the end of the season.
He is big and strong and should give Icarus a new option up
front for 09/10.

Gino
Portaluri: Caps: 86 Goals: 47
- Forward
Gino is one of the nicest guys in he team. A regular for 6 seasons
now he has made the switch from left midfield to centre forward.
Gino can play upfront or in the middle of midfield. He is another
player to hit the 50 Cap mark last season. Top scorer last year
he is already amongst the goals this season. |

John
Hetherington: Caps:
187 Goals: 76 - Forward
On the field John's pace, ability to beat defenders, and clinical
finishing have on occasion seen score some vital goals. John
too is a popular member of the squad, however as Manager he
never likes to get too friendly with HIS players. John first
played for Icarus in 1998 and took on the Managers job in 2003.

Hodgkinson: Caps:
108 Goals: 73 - Forward
Hodge has scored for the RAF and despite being based at RAF
Lossiemouth, his commitment to the Club is unmatched. He has
an eye for goal and after a spell helping in midfield last season
he is looking to feature up front this year. Strong and direct
he has the knack of scoring vital goals! |

Tom Summerville:
Caps:
16 Goals: 8 - Forward
Tom joined Icarus just before the Gibralter training camp is
is working hard this season to make a name for himself. He scored
his first goal for the Club against the RLC TA and made a positive
impression as a sub against the RAF side in November. |

Harris:
Caps: 9 Goals: 2 - Forward / Winger
Andy joined the Club early in 2010 and made a big impression
on his debut. A play who possesses both pace and skill he
can play either wide or through the middle.
