Vinny has been out of the country for the whole of last season
and the first part of this. Before he went he amassed an amazing

Daz
Coleman: Caps: 56 Goals: 18
Daz is a midfielder with a knack of scoring important goals.
With his late runs into the box he makes a habit of scoring
around 10 goals a season from deep. He suffered from a number

Ben
Fisher: Caps: 53 Goals: 10
Ben is a top class defender and midfielder who is adept at popping

to see him back in the shirt next season. His dogged determination
and commitment to the Club are second to none, making him a
popular member of the squad. This is Ben's 4th season with the
Club.

John
Hetherington: Caps:
135 Goals: 68
On the field John's pace, ability to beat defenders, and clinical
finishing have on occasion seen him win fixtures, almost single
handily. John too is a popular member of the squad, however
as Manager he never likes to get too friendly with HIS players.
John first played for Icarus in 1998 and took on the Managers
job in 2003.

Bondy rejoined the squad this season after a 2 year absence.
He has started the season on fire, scoring some vital goals,
non more so than the 2 he scored in the Cup against the Civil

Rich
Lowe: Caps: 26 Goals: 5
To get the low down on Rich we had to chat to his Brize Norton
chums! Lowey is always flying around the world, but when in
the UK, his fantastic left foot has won him plaudits across
the RAF footballing world. His set pieces and crossing are of
the highest order. Rich joined Icarus at the start of last season,

Since joining the Club, Jim has continued to impress and perform
at the highest level. Jim broke into the full RAF squad last

him an integral part of the midfield, and on occasion as a centre
half. Jim's ability to run at pace with the ball and power through
the opposition's defence has seen him feature increasingly on
the score sheet. A likable character, Jim enjoys a good level
of friendship with the majority of the squad (but not all of
them!).
|
 |
Gino
Portaluri: Caps: 51 Goals: 14
Gino is one of the nicest guys in he team. A regular for 4 seasons

of midfeild. He is another players likely to hit the 50 Cap
mark this season. |
 |
Paul
Sharp: Caps: 39 Goals: 3
Sharpy is what many people would consider as your typical English
centre half. Paul, as well as captaining the First Team, stands
out as a talisman figure; and is a shining example to the younger
members of the Club. Being from Newcastle, Sharpy's Geordie
wit and sense of humour, off the field, mixed with his leadership
and dominance, on it, make Paul Sharp's contribution to the
Club, almost, irreplaceable.

 |
Dan
Turner: Caps: 45 Goals: 8
Dan, joined the Club at the start of last season and is definitely
a name worth taking note of. Dan's display of commitment when

for all. On the pitch Dan's enthusiasm, wherever he plays is
second to none. He has even played at full back this season.
His pace, mixed with his 'Never say die' attitude, have quickly

vital contribution to the Cup win against the Civil Service!

currently training with Elgin City and remains one of the top
Icarus players for 2007/08.

A tough tackling full back or midfielder, Jim

is currently suffering from a serious ankle injury, but has
taken on the roll as deputy fixtures secretary and is writing
match reports. |
 |
Rich
Lewis: Caps: 23 Goals: 5
Yet another Geordie in the squad, Rich made his return to Icarus
football at the end of last season when he joined us on tour.
Rich is a tough tackling defender with good ball skills. A former
semi pro in the North East; Rich brings real quaility to the
back four. He has been on a course at the start of this season,
but he should make a big impact once he is back on the field.
